SailGP Season 4 Venues Announced • Live Sail Die – Live Sail Die | Gmx Pharm

The fourth season of SailGP, the purposeful global racing championship, will feature more events than ever before as the league’s expansion continues at an impressive pace season after season. SailGP’s national teams will compete across the world to reach fourteen events – almost three times the number of Season 1 – in a record-breaking season that will stretch over 14 months.

SailGP Season 4 will kick off in spectacular fashion on June 17-18, 2023 in Chicago, a city that will be seeing crowds gather at Navy Pier this summer for a hugely successful edition of Season 3 of the T-Mobile United States Sail Grand Prix crowded. This event will be followed by a Northern Hemisphere summer sweep of Europe, with a return to Season 2 fans’ favorite Taranto, southern Italy, on September 23-24 and a third visit by the league to Cádiz, Andalucia for Spain Sail Grand Prix on October 14th and 15th.

After the planned five events in Europe, the league heads to the Middle East before moving on to Asia where the second edition of the Singapore Sail Grand Prix will take place on 13-14 January 2024.

Sydney will then host SailGP for the fifth time as the KPMG Australia Sail Grand Prix takes place on 17-18 February 2024 before the league heads to New Zealand. In Season 4, the action moves from Christchurch to Auckland as part of a four-season arrangement with rotating hosts in multiple cities, and Auckland will host on March 16th and 17th.

SailGP Season 4 then concludes back in the Northern Hemisphere, stopping at the Bermuda Sail Grand Prix on May 4-5 before two more North American events, including a potential first post-launch home event for the Canadian SailGP team a competitive application process earlier this year. The season ends on July 13-14, 2024 and concludes with the Grand Final in the United States.

Many of the cities returning for Season 4 are doing so on multi-year deals, underscoring the growing commercial confidence in the global league after just two and a half seasons on the sporting calendar. Additional cities in the Season 4 calendar will be announced in the coming months.

Purpose and Impact continues to be a strong focus for the Global League, and Season 4 will mark the third edition of SailGP’s groundbreaking Impact League, the second Podium of the Championship for the planet. The Impact League, won by New Zealand’s SailGP team in Season 2, is currently being hotly contested by all teams in a tight Season 3 Championship.

Season 4 also sees the continuation of the SailGP Women’s Pathway, which aims to accelerate the training and development of female athletes with the goal of creating an inclusive sports championship with gender equity. Additionally, SailGP’s Inspire community outreach program and its three pillars – Learning, Career and Racing – will continue to expand and ensure that SailGP has a positive impact at each of the venues where it races in Season 4.

The SailGP Season 3, now halfway through, continues later next week in Andalucia – Cádiz for the NEAR Spain Sail Grand Prix before heading to the Middle East for the Dubai Sail Grand Prix to be hosted by P&O Marinas on the 12th and November 13 in Mina Rashid will be presented. complete in 2022. In 2023, the league will travel to Singapore, Sydney and Christchurch before the Grand Final in San Francisco in May.
